In 2013, a small team in Helsinki set out to build a better alternative to Google Site Search—something faster, more flexible, and easier to control. That idea evolved into AddSearch.
From the beginning, we’ve focused on building a site search engine that’s simple to implement, easy to use, and powerful where it counts. That’s how we’ve driven more clicks, longer sessions, and meaningful gains to our customer’s bottom line.
Here’s how we got there:
- 2013: AddSearch was founded in Helsinki.
- 2014–2016: we started gaining traction as Google Site Search began to sunset.
- 2017+: reached 1,000+ customers across ecommerce, education, and government.
- 2023: we joined the saas.group family to power our next chapter.
- 2024: named Finland’s Top International Employer (SME category).
