Requesting a Full Recrawl of Your Search Index
A full recrawl updates your website's search index by letting AddSearch's crawler scan all your pages. During this process, the crawler identifies new pages and detects changes in existing pages to update the index accordingly. Note that initiating a full recrawl does not clear your current index before crawling.
Full recrawls are especially useful after significant site changes, such as a new domain name or altered URL structures. Since the index might contain outdated data until the crawler updates it, a full recrawl helps keep your search results accurate.
How to Start a Full Recrawl
- Log in to your AddSearch Account.
- Navigate to Index tools in the dashboard.
- Click the Full recrawl button under the Full re-crawl section.
Depending on your website's size, the full recrawl may take from several minutes to several hours to complete.

Notes on Recrawl Frequency
- You can perform a full recrawl once per week.
- Trial users may request a full recrawl every 60 minutes.
The system will display when you can request your next full recrawl. If you require a full recrawl sooner, please contact AddSearch support.
Alternative: Updating Individual Pages
To update or add pages without a full recrawl, follow the instructions for managing single pages.
